Buru Rehab proudly works with local Indigenous Community Groups, local Indigenous businesses and local industry support groups to ensure all our projects are delivered with local input, involvement and employment for the benefit of the local community.

Our current community engagement

  • Engagement with the Kariyarra Aboriginal Corporation to facilitate successful negotiations with miners, state government and land users of the Pilbara to advocate for change and opportunity 
  • Strategic Alliance with Gnaala Karla Booja Aboriginal Corporation to grow indigenous employment and indigenous business opportunities in the South West of WA
  • Ongoing partnership with Bunuba Dawingarri Aboriginal Corporation to identify and connect with local people and businesses in the Ellendale and Derby regions
  • Partnering with the Waalitj Foundation to provide Aboriginal entrepreneurial support
  • Continued mentoring and support for the Purfleet Taree Local Aboriginal Land Council
  • Presenter at the Waalitj Bunbury Business Builder seminar
  • Sponsorship of the Martu/Pilbara Boorloo Jets Aboriginal Youth Football Team
  • Attendance at the Industry Capability Network Local Resourcing seminar
  • Attendance at the Tjiwral/Goldfields Native Title Agreement signing ceremony
